Research Proposal
I would like to write my research paper on stem cells. I think the advancement in curing stem cells is a great topic. The topic covers not only the medical aspect, but also the technology aspect on stem cell research. My view on stem cell research is that it should be allowed, but with limitations. Scientists or researchers of any kind should be forcing women to donate their embryonic cells. Donation should be someone’s choice. I also thought about researching the ethical issue regarding stem cells, but found it to be mainly people’s opinions. Researching the how and what types of diseases we may be able to cure seemed more practical. I am curious to see if anyone else is doing the stem cell research in class. There are so many different ways and interpretations someone can take the research. Overall, I think the best way for me to go is the disease route. There is a ton of info on this topic. It should be somewhat easy to gain info and insight for stem cells.

This should be a very interesting report since this is such a touchy subject. It is also good that you have picked out what specifically you want to talk about. With disease you find a ton of information.
I think you chose a good topic because of all of the controversy that surrounds it and you chose a specific aspect which is good. Im sure you will find a lot of information on it. good luck!
You were a bit unclear on the source of stem cells, but I think it may be a typo. You said "Scientists or researchers of any kind should be forcing women to donate their embryonic cells," but you follow it with "Donation should be someone’s choice." I'm assuming that should should have been a shouldn't.
Also, I have written a paper about this topic before and in my research, I discovered that there are multiple types of stem cells and that the different types have different uses and limitations. You may want to include those in your paper or specify that your paper is just about embryonic stem cells.
Considering that scientists continue using embryonic stem cells when adult stem cells act the same as the embryonic ones do. I would rather the stem cells be donated by the adult patients then have them taken from fraternal banks, but that brings up the debate on abortion. I will not go into that topic now, but it is most evident that I am against it. I would not forget what this country was founded on and that was the morals that todays would has more and more evident each day has forgotten.
