Technology

Technology is extremely important. We use it in our everyday lives. Without technology there would be no cars to get to class or work. The use of my laptop and ipod are just two examples of technology that I use everyday. The human race has come so far in the technology field. Even people in third world countries use technology to some extent. Without technology there would be no entertainment. Technology is always changing. Without the constant upgrading of our ideas and concepts, we would be in a lot of trouble. For all we know, humans could still be riding a horse to work without technology. We all need to thank scientists, the people who get technology and like figuring things out to make them better. Without the passion that scientists have, we would have never gotten this far in the world. Scientists are always coming up with better ways of doing something. My original point was that technology has influenced all of us and will continue to change for the better. Thanks for reading!

I am so thankful for technology but it also does some harm to the world. I wish we could find a way to have the technology to help us but not harm the world. An example is cars. I couldn't live without my car but it does harm to the world.

I agree that we have lots of entertainment available with technology. However, I am not sure that "pre-tech" people did not have entertainment. They just had different forms -- festivals, feast days, plays, oral readings of ballads and singing. It seems part of the human condition to seek out friends and fun. We just keep redefining what it is?
